Terry is Chris’ dedicated mom. She worked as a certified ICU nurse until Chris was diagnosed with Autism. Deeply saddened by her son’s diagnosis, she knew she needed to find a way out of her sorrow. She enrolled in a painting class and surprised everyone including herself at her hidden ability to paint an oil portrait of her son. “I found myself crying as I painted the face of the son I felt I’d lost."

 

Art has become a therapeutic outlet for expressing her profound emotions and paved the way for healing and facing the challenges every parent of a child dealing with this debilitating disability. Art, indeed, saves lives.
